This Japanese-crafted Genesis Collection RG565 harks back to that golden era — when high-performance instruments were in heavy demand, and still are! Key features include versatile Ibanez electronics, a reliable Edge double-locking tremolo system and an ultra-thin Super Wizard neck profile.

Ergonomic Construction

Ibanez's iconic RG model has always been regarded as a premium guitar built solely for shredders. The RG565 perfectly fits that mould, with a lightweight Basswood body that won't induce any fatigue or shoulder strain during long or energetic live performances. This material wasn't chosen just for comfort though, as Basswood is known for possessing balanced tonal qualities ideal for electric guitars.

Deep body cutaways allow for effortless access to all 24 of the RG565's frets too, with a heavily-contoured belly-cut letting the instrument rest nicely against your body in either sitting or standing positions.

Super Wizard Neck

The Ibanez RG565 boasts a bolt-on 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck that provides a snappy response with plenty of mid-range projection; perfect for complex riffs or solos that need lots of cut in a mix! The superbly-thin 'Super Wizard' neck shape makes fast passages a breeze to play, while the Maple fingerboard comes fitted with jumbo frets to offer you maximum playability and control.

Proprietary Ibanez Pickups

Ibanez may not be highly-regarded for its in-house pickups, but the RG565 comes equipped with a pair of the Japanese brand's most acclaimed original humbuckers which promise red-hot tones! The V8 bridge humbucker will handle high doses of gain without breaking a sweat, giving you lots of saturation and top-end clarity. The Infinity R pickup in the neck position may look like a single-coil, but it's actually a blade-style humbucker! Featuring a ceramic magnet, this pickup emits a potent sound but can be cleaned up nicely for subtle-sounding musical passages.

Master volume and tone controls give you direct authority over the instrument's output and timbre, but the RG565's most significant component is its flexible 5-way pickup selector switch.
